March 1st marks the first day of Women’s History Month, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate this than to introduce you to some of the most influential women in the hospitality industry.
- Carme Ruscalleda – Gordan Ramsey and Thomas Keller are household names, and why not? They each currently have seven Michelin stars at their restaurants around the world. So we think Carme Ruscalleda should be a household name as well. After all, she’s currently holding the same number of stars. With a cuisine strongly based on traditional Catalan influence, Ruscalleda is easily one of the greatest chefs, not just in Spain but in the entire world. She even has two of her seven Michelin stars for a restaurant in Tokyo.
- Alison Broadhead – If we’re talking about women with a seat at the table in the hospitality industry, we can’t leave out the CCO of Jumeirah Group. This team has essentially redefined the luxury hotel industry with holdings across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. You wouldn’t even recognize the Dubai skyline without the Burj Al Arab.
- Maud Bailly – Accor Group operates hotels ranging from the economy level to the luxury level all over the world. However, when it comes to business in France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, Portugal, and Spain, Ms. Bailly holds the reins as the company’s CEO for Southern Europe. From operational performance to partner relations, she’s currently running one of the most strategically significant regions for tourism.
These are just a few of the special women who are taking the hospitality industry into the future, and A1 American wanted to take this moment to celebrate women all over the world who are defining the future of how we will eat, rest, and play when we travel in the future.
A1 is proud to continue supporting the hospitality industry during these trying times with quality supplies and essential care products.
